Hi, I’m Nancy. I specialize in physical therapy for women’s health

I’ve been a PT for over 40 years now. (When did I get old enough to say that?!)

There’s nothing I’m more passionate about than helping women like you to feel comfortable in your changing body without any discomfort or shame.

But, if I’m being honest, how I found my way to physical therapy was a journey…probably a lot like how you found your way to this website.

My dad was a physical therapist. I was a precocious little girl. So, to keep me out of trouble, I started working at his office at just 12 years old…filing papers and doing administrative work.

I was the forever lost soul…always seeking something more out of life. So, by the end of my sophomore year of college, when I still hadn’t declared my major, my sister grabbed me and shook me, “Nancy, of course you’re going to be a PT.” And like that, I declared a major. Because good girls did what was expected of them.

When I got to PT school, I found out I hadn’t taken a critical physiology class I didn’t know about. I felt like a fraud, always on the verge of getting caught. “They’ll know I don’t belong. They’ll find out I’m not good enough,” I told myself. I spent the early part of my career convinced someone was going to see the imposter that I was and punish me for breaking the rules.

In full transparency, I didn’t even love physical therapy. Not until the birth of my first son when I had a traumatic birth injury and wasn’t listened to by the medical team at all…and then the discomfort and leaking started. And it opened a can of worms where I started to realize all the discomfort I’d been putting up with and just accepting in my life…just like so many of my clients.

It made me realize I wanted more. I had developed an expertise in craniosacral, visceral fascial, and myofascial therapies over the years. When I coupled them with what I was learning about the pelvis, I knew that it was time to start my own practice to take a more holistic approach...way beyond just a few exercises or life-style changes that I was allowed where I was.

After years of seeking something more, I realized a secret that I’ll share with you: I’m not just a physical therapist…

…I’m a healer, a lover, a space-holder, a magician—who happens to use the vehicle of physical therapy to get my clients deep and lasting transformation.

What Other People Just Like You Are Saying About Nancy Branberg PT

Lynda C.

"Nancy has been a change agent for me. She taught me about the important relationship between the urinary tract and bowels and that helping one improves the health of the other. She taught me exercises which I do daily to improve my need to constantly urinate. Nancy is extraordinarily gentle and effective."

Kate R.

"Nancy is very compassionate about your pain, and is very skilled at releasing painful muscle and myofascial issues. I have had a lot of recurring problems with my SI Joint and pelvic muscles and Nancy has always been willing to keep working on those areas until the pain is resolved."

Rachel M.

I haven't looked back since I was referred to Nancy by another physical therapist who said she was the best around for my “gut issues”.  She was absolutely right - following rectal cancer and the attendant surgeries, my gut has struggled to behave consistently.   Nancy has helped me immeasurably, her visits keeping my abdomen on an even keel.
